Below is a copy of the letter that was sent from a local scrapbooker who is a customer of ours. We would like to thank this "annoymous" cropper, as Dawn & Rick was treated to a lovely dinner, and evening with Jim Harper and the gang. As you can see from the photos, the evening was magical!

I would like to take this time to nominate a wonderful lady who owns a local scrapbook store in Clinton Twp. Her name is Dawn. This young women has owned this store for a very short time, however she treats you as if you are family. This lady volunteers for several organizations, and gives most of her spare time to St. Jude Hospital. She is always helping others, either babysitting, doing errands, or just lending a shoulder to cry on, she is there. She devotes all of her time to others, rarely anytime to herself, and it often shows. She is always tired, and run down, but she jumps up and goes again to help people. She never complains about anything, just smiles and says "Have a nice day". She loves to get involved in the community, and helping Children is her mission in life.
I feel she deserves to be reconized, she is truly a hero, and someone to look up to. I believe she brighten's many lives each day.

Individuals have signed up to sell their gently used (and often NEW!) scrapbook supplies at garage sale prices. Items may include: patterned papers, cardstock, stamps, die cuts, albums, storage solutions, tools, metal embellishments, stickers and so much MORE. Come early to get the best selection... come back in the afternoon when sellers start to slash their prices. You won't want to miss out!
Sign up for a table to sell your own items for only $5.00 per table, or drop off your items & we'll sell your items for you. (You pay $5 per table required and a 20% commission on sold items.) Items must be priced and marked with your initials if we are selling your items for you. Please call to reserve your table, as space is limited. Set Up will begin Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. All Drop off items must be delivered no later than the day before.

With your help, we were able to raise just over $2500.00 for St. Jude's. This event was such a success, St. Jude has phoned and asked if we would do the event again next year! So yes, once again we will host another 12 hour crop in honor of St. Jude's. This event will once again take place on National Scrapbook Day in 2010. Starting January, Dawn & Rick will once again be contacting the Detroit Lions, Tigers, Pistons, and Wings asking for their support. Their support for our 2009 event was a major reason for our success. We thank them for their support!

The Scrapbook Cafe family has been personally touched by the wonderful treatment and care St. Jude's offers to patients. Currently, one of our family members, Vivian Laws, is undergoing treatment there at this time for Osteosarcoma, the most common form of bone cancer in children.

Join the S.C. Kit Club to help you think outside the box when it comes to designing page layouts. The monthly membership fee is just $15.00 per month and includes oodles of goodies! Kits are available for pick-up on the First of every month. If you choose, you can bring back your completed layout no later than the last day of the month, and display it at our store. You will receive a punch on your layout punch card, and after 6 punches, you will receive a free gift certificate to our store! All displayed layouts will be judged by our customers for one month. Winners each month will receive a Free gift certificate to our store! Kits can be pre-paid in full, or can be paid with a credit card left on file. You may pay cash or check the day you pick up your kit. Any kits not picked up will be charged kit fee on the credit card left on file.
Discount cards:
You will receive 10% off every time you shop while you are a member of the Kit Club. The discount card can be used towards classes, crops, clearance item or regular priced items. Cricut items excluded.
Call now to sign up or stop by. Kits are available now. To enter the contest, at least 90% of the items in the kit must be used in the layout. Completed layouts left for judging will be available for pick-up on the last day of the month.
Example: February's completed kit that is left for judging in March can be picked up at the end of March. Winner of March will be announced the beginning of April.
